Itty bitty update

I have not blogged since August! Heavens, it's easier said than done huh! We have had quite the few months, We found out we were expecting a sweet baby on August 20th. We were in complete shock and kept quiet for a bit, we had so much fun announcing it! We told my mother n law on the day we found out seeing how it was her birthday she was so happy! So much time has gone by since then, I am now 20 weeks pregnant and time is flying. We are expecting a perfect BABY BOY, and couldn't be more thrilled! We will be naming him Nixxon Jameslee Honeycutt. I'm so excited for this new adventure, I have a great man to share this with and Nixx is going to have one awesome brother! We are due April 20th, it worked out so perfect being unplanned. We wanted a spring/summer babes:)
We have also over prepared ourselves for the little guy, purchased our stroller, carseat, crib, dresser, swing, my diaper bag and plenty of clothes. So glad we got all our major needs done and over with! Daddy sure works hard.
We have been talking up our wedding plans like no other, it's been almost a year of engagement I can't believe it. BUT all the pauses life has brought are going to be so worth it! We are still trying to plan on our August date seeing how our event center is still open:) we just have to finish saving up for my maternity leave and we are set!

Can't wait to update this more for my family!

Our simple summer!

Well of course I never do what I would like to do, and keep up on a blog! SO... I'll just update it for now haha. We have been having such a fun summer this year, since I've known Kelly we usually go on a vacation every summer or early summer.... But this year is different. We have to pay for our own wedding so were saving the pennies :) (Kelly has been sweet enough to not plan his Denver Bronco game that he goes to every year) he's the best!

Anyway, this summer has been filled with lots of beautiful weather, swimming and family time! I think we've seen more movies then ever!! But we love them :) its been fairly simple, my birthday is in the summer though and I enjoyed that very much. Kelly always does such an awesome job with anything, he's the best. Kannon has met a lot of new friends in our little town home block. So he stays super busy with them :) last year he was too shy to talk to anyone, I'm glad he is now enjoying himself!
Kannon started kindergarten this summer and he just loves it, it's been a little over a week. I'm excited for him and all his new life adventures.

We've done a zoo trip with some friends, as I mentioned plenty of swimming. Let's hope we can get a camping trip in before summer sneaks away. I've loved every minute of our family filled time summer, I honestly couldn't ask for more the three of us always have so much fun!

Also, Kelly's birthday just passed and we spent a family day downtown at City creek and we've never had so much fun together. Things just always get better! Kannon LOVED the mall and all the fish in the creeks, we took Kelly to the cheesecake factory for his first time and he loved it, we all pigged out:)

I'll keep it simple for this post because that is the jist of how our summer is going, having fun and being close as ever :)

Kannons 2012 baseball season! Rookie league!

Well not only is MLB season starting up for our BOSTON REDSOX ... More so mine ;) Kannon has began practice for his rookie league. He has been pretty excited over it, not only because he loves sports but this year daddy gets to be his coach. It's going to be a bond that some kids don't have with their dad, which is so important for these two. They're unbelievably close, they are having a ball with this! Kelly is one of the most terrific, fun, loving fathers out there. Kannon and I are lucky to have such a man in our life! I can't wait until his first game, the league hasn't yet decided what teams we are but kannon and I are hoping for the red sox 😜 speaking of red sox, the red sox major league lost their opening game, the devastated look on Kannons face was priceless. You can tell kannon looks up to his dad so much, being that Kelly is an over whelming sports freak, kannon strives to do the same! It's going to be one fun season, stay tuned ❤

The proposal

Alright guys, yes it's been 2 months just about since Christmas has been here! I slack at logging in on here but I promise I'll always get on at some point to share... Especially more often now with the mobile app on my phone!


So Kelly had been talking about being married, what we'd want etc for a very long time in the summer and fall, I didn't think anything of it.... I had no idea he was even thinking about it. I knew he would do it before anyone suspected (like he did) we just didn't know...
So December 23rd Kelly, kannon and my poppa were just at my home hanging out, cooking and getting ready for the holidays, wrapping presents and just having fun. My dad went to leave late that night and he says okay I'll be back early in the am. I was confused on why he would come back so early.... Might I add I am not a morning person!
So here comes Christmas eve morning and it's 8:00am we still have a cold house and I won't wake up when it's cold 0_O where I first thought it was weird, my dad called Kelly rather than me... I mean he calls Kelly all the time but that early? I wasn't sure.! They were talking weird and Kelly kept looking at me like he was afraid of the phone call haha! So anyway, Kelly says your dad is on his way over are you gonna get ready... Uh no why do I need to get ready for my dad. So I woke up tool a quick shower went downstairs and my dad was already here. We talked for a few started making breakfast. About 9:30am Kelly is getting ready to watch the Denver broncos play, this is where it happened... He asked if I would take a picture of him and kannon tebowing in front of the Christmas tree... And he had dozens already of them tebowing, so I said no Kelly stop making fun of Tim tebow, he loves Jesus lol!!! And I went to Walk up stairs and my dad stopped and said i was Rude. Also, since I said no I won't take a picture my dad had his phone recorder up and was following me every where I went I said dad make sure you get kannon in the pic haha... Then Kelly pulled out the ring and kannon (his 5yr old son) said will you marry my daddy? I was so shocked bawled my eyes out before I even answered 20 minutes later. Kannon says well Jodi he is waiting.... Yes or no! It was really shocking to me I wanted to scream at the top of my lungs and shout yes to the world. But the moment is so much more then I thought it would be! Kelly hugged me the whole time I cried and just kept saying how much he loved me, while my dad was also crying in his corner too :) overall it seemed so simple, but I appreciated my moment more thn anything and to have BOTH my boys involved along with my dad was the best thing kelly could've chosen to do! Now here we are even more in love every day and planning our wedding :) all though Kelly has been there done that, he has been the most lovable, excited person to be around at this time! I am so thankful for him!
I love you Kelly Blake Honeycutt! Can't wait to be yours, start our beautiful family and love you forever like you never, ever have been loved! ❤
